Within the Laborers’ International Union of North America, Dennis L. Martire serves in the elected role of vice president and regional manager for the mid-Atlantic region. Daily, he strives for the best working conditions and wages for laborers in states such as Maryland and Virginia. Martire has worked with LIUNA since 1990, amassing more than three decades of experience with this organization and its representation of workers.
This vast experience has led Martire to lending his expert option to a number of committees. Some of these boards are directly related to his day-to-day work, such as the Pennsylvania Workforce Investment Board, the Laborers-Employers Benefit Plan Collection Trust and the Laborers’ Health and Safety Fund of North America. But other appointments gain Martire’s input as they strive for goals similar to LIUNA. Some of those committees are the American High Speed Rail Alliance Advisory Board, the Dulles Area Transportation Authority and the National Maintenance Agreement Policy Committee.
No matter which board or committee, Martire brings his decades of learned knowledge and his direct experience within the labor field to the organization, its needs and its progress.
